Maze measures
Our easyCBM program does not have Maze Reading measures.
Maze measures are passages with words missing, either at random or on a set interval (such as every 7th word), with possible answer choices of words that might fit in the blank.
These measures can be a good assessment of comprehension, and for a while we contemplated having them as part of easyCBM. The issue with Maze measures, in terms of progress monitoring, is that the "difficulty" of each item depends on whether or not the student correctly responded to the previous item(s), so it is nearly impossible to create comparable alternate forms.
