TOTP 2-Factor Auth

easyCBM Teacher Edition supports 2-factor authentication in the form of "Time Based One-Time Password" (TOTP). Use of this feature requires 3rd party software that supports the TOTP standard: Examples include Authy, Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Duo, Bitwarden, etc.

Once you have decided on and installed an authentication app, log in to your easyCBM Dashboard and click on the Account tab.

Next, click the blue button labeled "2-Factor Authentication (TOTP)" and follow the set-up instructions.

**Note: Make sure to "scan" any provided QR codes with the "camera inside the chosen app". Using your phone camera by itself will not work when syncing the app to your account.

Once the QR code is scanned within the app, enter the 6 digit code into the verification box to confirm/finish setup.

Re-syncing after a Password Reset

At this time, each easyCBM account can have only one TOTP configuration. If you reset your password using the 'forgot password' feature, the TOTP code will also be reset and you may have to resync the app to your account again.
