Students need to be advanced a grade in the fall as the system does not automatically do that. This may also mean groups need to be adjusted.
If a student ended the school year as a 4rd grader and then keeps the same grade (unless they have been retained) going into the fall, and this same student took all of the benchmarks as a 4th grader, then the program cannot assign a benchmark test to that student as it thinks they have already taken the test (students can only take a test once). If this happens then those scores will appear as being taken the current year. If you advance the grade of the student, all tests in this example grade 5, will open for benchmark testing and the previous year’s benchmark scores will appear in the previous year’s tally.
